Hi i’m trying to retrieve post values from a standard form using php but for some reason the values are being cleared, if i set the action to be the same template it’s fine, but passing between two different templates seems to be a problem, do you have any idea why?

    Thanks,

    James

Normally this should work without problems. Anything special about the new template? Any redirects involved?

    Hi silenz,

No it’s completely blank, the weird thing is had done this in a template previously without any problems, but now it’s just not working at all, when i var_dump the post array it’s always blank, i’ve tried it on two different new templates with php parsing stage set to the both input and output and still nothing..

wow, took me a while to figure that - turns out our SEO team were redirecting any url’s which weren’t containing a trailing slash so as i hadn’t included this in my action path the redirect was obviously clearing my post values,

    false alarm lol, thanks silenz.

James, glad things are working again. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
