This question may be related to a resolved thread.
I’m trying to add IP Addresses to the EE Blacklist but it keeps giving me a Fatal Error. I’ve added IP address 94.102.63.32 for example, and I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method DB::escape_like_str() in /www/eh10212/public_html/expressionEngine/modules/blacklist/mcp.blacklist.php on line 448

    h0lj0n,

What version and build of EE are you using?
Do you have your referrers module installed?

    h0lj0n,

First of all it is recommended that you update to version 1.6.8 which is the latest.

Line 448 as the errors refers to cleans your added IP out of your referrer list.
Troubleshooting this will be a lot easy or even fixed by upgrading to latest version.

but we received a ton of spam in our comments at 10:35 am this morning

There are quite a few anti-spam extensions out there which may help
