Alright guys n girls, got a new project thats quite a big sports news and forum site. Got everything planned but looking for the best way to do a banner advert management system and it cant be done in EE (as the customer doesnt have EE..)
Thinking of having three priority groups, say A, B and C. A having say 50% priority, B having 30% and C having 20% of all hits. Then each group can have x amount of banners, that will just be displayed at random. The group will be chosen at random using the priority, then a banner chosen from that group.
Then going to have a simple CMS for the customer, upload a banner, choose the group, add a link etc. And allow them to see stats for impressions, clicks etc..
Is there a more obvious, simple but flexible solution? Anything obviously missing?
