    Hi,

    Is there a way to fasten the process of uploaden an Iframe?

    I have a page which contains an iframe. The iframe’s src points to a web-publisher tool (Slideshow Pro director from adobe) which takes to much time to process.(although the output isn’t very big,small pictures low resolution).
    Outside of EE Slideshow Pro director publishes the pictures real fast, so the iframe construction causes the delay, I would think.

    The code is use now is

    <IFRAME SRC="http://www.hollanditus.nl/ssp_director/gallery1/" ALIGN="center" HEIGHT="600" WIDTH="952" FRAMEBORDER="0" SCROLLING="no" NAME="pixelgallery">

    </IFRAME>

    which I use on http://www.hollanditus.nl/pixels (best view in firefox at the moment:)

    Thanks for thinking with me,

    Robert

    Have you used any tools to measure the load speed of the various elements on the page?

    I used the developer tools built in to safari (turn these on in the Safari> Preferences > Advanced).

    In my testing, the slowest element on the page is this one:

    http://www.hollanditus.nl/ssp_director/xml_cache/images_gallery_1_1914_1140_0_100_1_99_80_0_60_1_943_340_1.xml?1260230492

    If you find a way to speed the generation of this page (it’s xml actually) I think you will find the page loads much faster.

    Also, would recommend you move your CSS files to static .css files and not try to serve out of EE unless you have a very good reason to do so.

    Also question why you need an iFrame at all…

    Couldn’t you just embed the contents of the iframe in the parent page?
