Hi, i’ve noticed my 404 page is getting alot of hits, i reset the counter a few weeks ago and had 25 thousand hits since - it always seems to be in the tracker array.
Can you think of any reason this may be happening?
Thanks,
James

It could be that there’s an invalid link on one of your templates that is hit every time your page is loaded or spidered. Alternatively, if you’re using this 404 page for your server side errors, too (ie being triggered from outside of EE), there are a few things many browsers try to load by default (like RSS pages, favicons, etc.) If you don’t have them, you’ll get a 404. Take a look at your web server error logs to see which requests trigger the error.
