Moderator’s note: Merged two threads. No need to double post.

I need to create custom 404 error page.

    Right now Error message shows:
    “Not Found
The requested URL /what.html was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

In Templates>Template Preferences, 404 Page is currently set to ‘None’
Q1: What is FTP path to find file “thank_you” - located in /index.php/site/thank_you/

Q2: After I copy & modify that file to become a 404 document, where do I place it to point to through Templates>Template Preferences>404 Page ?

You can create your custom 404 page as any other template. Just create a template anywhere you want and than simply set that 404 template in your Global Template Preferences.

I do not know how to “create a template anywhere you want”. My questions are:

Q1: I want to copy a certain file “thank_you” - located in /index.php/site/thank_you/ and modify it to be used as 404 Page. What is path to find/locate that file?

Q2: Then where do I put that modified-to-be-404 Page file so that it shows up as option to point to from Templates>Template Preferences>404 Page ?
