I’ve used EE many times but I’ve never had this happen to me.

Installed a new licensed version of EE. Began putting together templates. Copy and pasted about 400 lines of HTML code into a template window. Pressed update. Came back to the same template. Only the top 200 lines of code are saved.

I’ve tried many times with various lines of code and it always seems to “cut off” at a certain number of lines.

Is there a setting I don’t know about?

Are you sure it’s a certain number of lines and not a specific piece of content?  Sounds like a mod_security issue, which would be content specific.  The limit of text for the template is around 65k.

I’m developing a Japanese website and that Japanese dot with Japanese keyboard spacing on either side seems to be the culprit.
