ScribeFire and uploading images

I am trying to use ScribeFire in Firefox and it works fine for general posting, but I am not able to upload an image like I can using the CP Posting in EE.

When I try to upload an image using the API it gives an error (and I do have it set correctly in the Modules)

I use enginehosting which requires additional security for ftping so that option doesn’t work in scribefire and I’m not sure how to set it up for http or if that is even an option.

Has anyone gotten scribefire to upload images for your EE site?

This sounds like an issue with Scribefire (which I am not at all familiar with), not EE as such. Let me move this to “General” for you.

I just installed Scribefire and tried it out on a site of mine and uploaded an image via the Scribefire API without any problems.

You said that EngineHosting has additional FTP security? What exactly is that?

As an aside I was using standard FTP with a username and login. Don’t know what EngineHosting requires though?

EngineHosting does not allow plain FTP; it requires SFTP.

Aha, right. That would explain it then I guess as Scribefire doesn’t allow anything other than FTP, HTTP & HTTPS at the moment. Might be worth getting in touch with the author of Scribefire to see if they could add that in perhaps? Unless there’s some way around it of course. I guess only EngineHosting would know that though.

Trying out Blog desk now, any other external editors that would work better with EE? Uploading images is a must for me.
