Not saving anything

I am having a really strange issue, my site has been live for about 6 months now with no problems. Now it seems not want to save anything, completely out of the blue. If I create a new weblog and click submit, it just goes to a page with the header, breadcrumbs “CP Home ›  Edit” and the footer, thats it no errors or anything.

I went into the settings to turn on errors but when I tried to save those settings I got the same page and nothing saves. This happens when saving settings, publishing new posts and updating old posts.

    I am using Expression Engine v 1.6.7.

    Thanks

A blank page usually indicates a suppressed PHP error. Make sure to turn on error reporting, see what error message, if any, that gets us.

You might also want to upgrade to the latest version and build, it’s a recommended security update.

    Hi Ingmar,

I have located the problem thanks, my host amended the max_upload PHP settings to 100MB instead of 100M (which indicates 100k). So even when I was trying to post the form to turn on error reporting it wasn’t allowing enough file size to be posted. Really hard problem to debug.

Thanks for your response all sorted.

Alex, Glad you were able to figure out what the problem was. Don’t hesitate to post again if needed.
