New server and slow loads / plugin errors

I just moved EE to a new server, and everything is fine—except if I have a page using plugins—like LinkList.  Then, sometimes, the page won’t load, pumping out a PHP error message.  Then, if I restart the browser, the problem goes away.

When I deleted all plugin codes, the site works—but it loads VERY SLOWLY.

Any idea what is causing this?  Can’t find anything on the server end.

What sort of error messages? Did you remember to clear your caches after the move?

Here is the error message I get on a page using the Magpie RSS plugin:

    =

PHP Notice:  Trying to get property of non-object in D:\HTTP\CincinnatiBeacon\system\plugins\pi.magpie.php on line 105

    =
I’m running php 5.3 and EE 1.6.8 (newest of both).  What’s wrong with my modules.  LinkList makes one, too—but I just got rid of it.

Did you clear your cache files when you moved the site?

Cached them after the move, not before.

can you remove those cache files in system/cache and please check to make sure your cache directory is writeable. and let’s see if the error remains.

    That didn’t do anything.

That didn’t do anything as in you are still receiving the error?

What page are you receiving the error on?  Is it only on the front end?

I had to take on mods and plugins off my front page.  Here is a page I still have up:

    http://www.cincinnatibeacon.com/index.php/contents/feeds2/

The error message mentions a blog on this feeds page—but if I take it out I just get more messages.  Nothing works but deleting everything.

Looks like the feed isn’t loading:

MagpieRSS: Failed to fetch <a href="http://www.bizzyblog.com/?feed=rss2">http://www.bizzyblog.com/?feed=rss2</a>. (HTTP Response: HTTP/1.1 302
    )

    that feed redirects to:  http://www.bizzyblog.com/feed/

Change the link & see if that fixes it.
