    Hi all,

I’m not so familiar with the restricted access functionality so bear with me…

Here is what I want to happen:

    1. User is on a specific webpage and clicks a PDF link to download

    2. User is taken to a registration page

    3. After registering, the freshly logged in user is dynamically taken back to that specific page to download any formerly restricted file (or taken directly to that file they clicked on.)

    Question:

    - If I restrict a template (containing the PDF), and it forces a registration on that generated page - will it redirect back to that initial page?

    - If not, can somebody please suggest the proper method to accomplish this task?

Alright, I asked the question first so that somebody could give me a best practices run-down on how to accomplish this task.

From what I can tell, this is the best way to do it:

    1. Buy Solspace’s User Module

    2. Implement a custom form in a EE template via:
    http://expressionengine.com/wiki/Standalone_Registration_Form/

    3. Use Gustafson’s Auto-Login

    4. ???

    _____

Question: After registering, where is the user taken? Can I set it (or design it) to go back to the template and entry they came from?

Unfortunately, I want to nail down the functionality before I commit the $89

    MUCH APPRECIATED!
