Simple Flash on the home page with a link to an internal page. The button that goes to an external site is working as expected, the button linking to an internal page does not work. I suspect the URL path is really different than what is displayed in the browser and what is displayed in the browser can’t be used.

    http://www.bestcountryroads.com has the Flash

    Click the ILoveNY link,it works

There is a large button over the rest of the animation that should go to:

    http://www.bestcountryroads.com/index.php/seeing-doing/quadevents/

but it doesn’t. The Flash has the above URL in the code.

Just tried this but it actually links to :

    http://www.bestcountryroads.com/index.php/seeing-doing/quad/

Seems like your link in your Flash file is probably not set correct maybe?

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    Mark and Sue,

You are correct it does go to the Quad page, and not to the Events pages. That is the way it should be. My error. You say the link is working for you, which is interesting. I’m to take it that the URL in the browser is accurate and can be used in Flash.

Mmm, I just found out that the site is also linked from this URL: http://www.columbiacountyny.com/ (Tourism link in the red box) if you access the bestcountryroads.com from this link, the Flash link does not work. There seems to be a forward going on from the old Tourism site to the new one.

joev, this seems to be an issue with your site and setup, not EE as such? As you have seen you can definitely use the URL in the title bar “as is”. Let me move this to HTML & Design for you for some further discussion, if you’d like to.

Yes, it turns out not to be an EE issue. No need to move to another forum. Thanks,

    Joe
