I would like to have the ability to select weblog posts, from multiple weblogs, from a custom field on the publish page.

For example, I have a website comprised of several weblogs. One of which manages banners. To select which page(s) the banner, or html snipit, should display on for the whole website, a multi-select field with every post listed would be great. A user could select one page, or several pages, for that banner to display on. This would happen on the publish page as a custom field.

I am trying to avoid a solution that requires the manual setup of such a field. Ideally, the multi-select would be populated dynamically.

Any ideas?

Or, is there a better solution?

If you want to modify the control panel pages, an extension would be the way to go.
