EE 1.6.5
Ok, It seems to be an EE/Proxy thing as it happens in these forums as well. I had to hit the Submit Post button several times. It doesn’t seem to happen anywhere else with any other sites using submits.
Maybe someone can help me out with a fix or tell me what to tell my “ISP.”
I am in Iraq ans using a private internet connection. The connection works similar to those in hotels. When you open the browser the ISP brings up their homepage, you login and then are given internet access via their proxy.
Here’s the issue. Whenever I am in my control Panel, in these forums, basically anything having to do with EE and I hit a Submit, Update, etc type button about 8/10 times the entry is not saved and the page “resets.” For instance I am updating my Templates, I hit Update and the next thing I know the CP Home comes up and none of my changes were saved. When I Post here, The page will reset to the forum home, not sending my post. Lucky I can hit Back on the browser and keep hitting the POST button till it eventually goes through. The behavior is not browser specific either.
I figure there is a problem with the way EE Sends data when these buttons are pushed and the way the proxy handles the data. The data is either being sent by non-standard means, its timing out, or some other issue and rejecting the data being sent. I have never seen this issue before and searching the EE site and google returns nothing at all.
EE version doesn’t seem to matter because it happens here as well as on my site, which is running 2 minor revisions behind sue to my being deployed currently. Also if I walk about a mile to the public internet terminal, their computers do no exhibit this problem.
Any idea, fixes, etc?
