Hello. I’m using EE 1.5.2 and lately when I try to update a page from the admin it just hangs, and hangs, and hangs, and then loads a blank white page. I go back retry, and same thing happens. I tried clearing the cache and that didn’t help. It might work after 15 or so tries, but something is wrong. Any help?

I’d recommend making a backup of the files & database for your site, and update to the most recent version of ExpressionEngine. There have been security updates and feature enhancements since 1.5.2 that I think you will be very pleased with.

By updating, we are getting you on the latest version of the software and are able to rule out any old bugs or file corruption.

Thanks, but I’m not sure this answered my question. Is my problem being caused by a bug? And if so, my license enabled me to download thew 1.6.1 version (which I have not installed yet), not the latest (1.6.7), which I would have to pay extra for. Will the 1.6.1 fix my stalling update problem?

There could be a bunch of things at play here.  Your internet connect could be bad, your host is having problems, an old resolved problem in the code, extensions at hand.  This is simply trying to cut out as many variables as we can to get to the bottom of the problem.
