    Hello everyone,

I was wondering if it’s possible to have a custom status switch at a specified date. I have an event entry with a status of ‘upcoming’, and I’d like it to automatically switch to another status ‘completed’ when it reaches its expiration date.

    Any ideas?  Thanks…

I don’t think it’s possible without the aid of some addon (plugin/extension).

Maybe look into the developer documentation?

I assume you are looking into the same type of functionality as the comment expiration but for weblog entries?

The Entry Expiration Notification add-on claims to be able to “close expired entries in order to make them easier to spot in the Control Panel.”  I’ve never used it, but perhaps it could help you.
