Guys, if you have a suggestion on this problem, let us know.

    1. Christian Filmmakers.org got locked up yesterday at noon when we released the contest info. Too much traffic is our explanation.

    2. We opened an account at mediatemple.net. We’re trying to get the site moved before midnight tonight when everyone submits their entries.

    3. We’re having difficulty getting ExpressionEngine to work on MT. We’ve been getting a server 500 error.

    4. The guy at MT said we should remove our .htaccess file because it’s causing the problem.

    5. But the .htaccess file has been removed, but that doesn’t fix the main issue, which is that our PHP scripts do not run. Index.php should run and at least give an error on database connection, if that’s the problem. Everything was working on the other server, but the files, transferred in a tar.gz, just don’t seem to run. The errorlog doesn’t show any errors.

Do any of you have ideas that might help?

We’re doing a clean install of EE right now to see if that works.

it could be that php is not correctly setup, or allowed in Plesk, if you are using a DV.  Make sure that you don’t have php in safe mode too.
