    I’m no longer able to upload files (images, podcast files) to my site blog. The Upload Window opens and I’m able to select a file, but then the action times out and the Upload Window goes blank (see attached image). The file hasn’t been uploaded. So far, my web host is just shrugging their shoulders. So I thought I’d check and see if you’d seen this before and what it could mean. Until this is resolved, I can’t post content on my site.

    Thank you for your time/suggestions.

    clwitmire, several things could be happening. One of which is that PHP doesn’t have enough memory allocated to it. Frequently blank pages are caused by that.

    My webhost has increased the php limits on my account to the following:

    memory_limit = 64M
    upload_max_filesize = 64M
    max_execution_time = 120 ; Maximum execution time of each script, in seconds
    max_input_time = 120 ; Maximum amount of time each script may spend parsing request data

    The issue seems to be resolved now. Do these numbers look adequate?

    Thanks for your time!

    Greetings!

    Couple questions for you:

    -How big is the file you are trying to upload?
    -Are you trying to upload as a superadmin.

    Ah, I spoke too soon. It’s actually not working. I’m still getting the blank Upload Window when I try to upload a file.

    The sound files are usually around 5MB-10MB each. I’m the super admin, so I’ve posted approx. 20 of them over the past year, on a regular basis.

    5-10mb is generally on the large side for a pure php upload if you aren’t doing any kind of file chunking.  Can you try to upload a small image, say 20kb?
