    I’m installing EE on a Windows IIS Plesk Server, but seem to have trouble installing when using php 5.2.5. After filling out all of the info on install screen “install.php?page=4” Once I click “click here to install expression engine” it goes to install.php=?page=5 but it just sits there, all you see is a blank purple/blue screen.

    Ive also run the wizard.php while in 5.2.5 mode and everything is fine, when I go to test the database (under 5.2.5) I’ll get the same error/blank screen.

    If I have my php settings set to “4.4.7” the install goes perfectly fine. As does the database test in wizard.php.

    I’ve checked my server logs but don’t see anything alarming.

    dreamworld, if you put up a phpinfo.php file with the following code:

    <?php phpinfo(); ?>

    and visit it via your browser, what are the settings for memory_limit?

    Solved it myself.

    run php 5.2.5 as an ISAPI Extension, not CGI.

    Glad things are working again. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.

    Would you mind adding a wiki entry for troubleshooting Plesk installs on Windows to help out anyone else that might have the same problem?
