Turn off “Automatically turn URLs and email addresses into links?” in your preferences.

Turn off “Automatically turn URLs and email addresses into links?” in your preferences.
But isn’t that different? ie, I want my URLs to become links—I just want it to stop converting the email address to obfuscated Javascript (as somewhere it’s generating a Javascript error) so I want to turn just that off.
Thanks, -Scott

I don’t think that’s a separate option, actually—if EE turns your mail address into a link, it’s going to obfuscate it. Please feel free to make a feature request to have this behavior change.

In a related question, can I turn that off for a single page, or does it have to be site-wide?

It’s a site-wide setting. As a workaround, you could disable it globally, then use a plugin where you do need it.

I gather, to be precise, it’s a “weblog/section-specific site-wide” setting—meaning, if my site has multiple weblog/section, this would affect all the pages within that weblog/section—but not other weblog/sections—right?

Yes, my mistake. It’s a per-weblog setting.

Thanks, I think this is enough to set me in the right direction.
