I’ve seen a fair amount of discussion surrounding meat and potatoes issues for deploying installations and site updates. Does anyone have thoughts on best practices, or pointers to some threads that talk about best practices for handling issues around weblog configuration.
What to do for updates to things like:
- Weblog Management
- Category Management
- Custom Weblog Fields
- Custom Entry Statuses
- and other settings not normally found in config.php
It sure would be great to be able to dump and import these sorts of updates.
Doing it by hand can be tricky if there are quite a few changes.
Pointers and advice would be much appreciated!
