I’ve been working with the wiki entry on creating a standalone registration form. When I’ve tried submitting the form, I get the “You are not authorized to perform this action” message.

I’ve found the KB article on this error and followed the instructions for possible fixes but have still had no luck.

I’ve checked membership preferences and everything seems alright. Additionally, I’ve tried registering using the member/register template and everything works fine.

Is there any other variable here that I’m missing?

Could you possibly post an example of the code you are using in your version of the form?

Not sure if this would make a difference in this situation, but it’s worth a try:

Try setting the “Process Form Data in Secure Mode” option to “No” in the “Security and Session Preferences” and see if that makes any difference? (make sure to refresh the form before re-trying of course.)

can you do this on a per-form basis instead of site wide?
