How can I find or see what ID # a member has been assigned in the Admin Panel?
Same goes for the Item ID # given to a product in Simple Commerce.
Surely there is a way to find these numbers in the control panel somewhere.

    Thanks!

    Hiya,

To see the member_id then go to :

    Admin->Members and Groups->View Members

Hover over the member name that you wish to find the id for and look in the status bar on your browser and you should see at the very end of the information something like =myacount&id=4. The bit after id= is their member ID.

For SCM items other than seeing the entry_id of the item I think the only way of getting the actual SCM ID is by either viewing your database using something like PHPMyAdmin or a database query application or by creating a SQL query to get that information for you.

Hope that helps a bit though.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    Mark,
Thanks for the reply.  You’re always very helpful.
I was really hoping that there was a way to see the SCM ID.  If anyone else has any suggestions, please let me know.

BTW - Mark, the site I was working on that utilizes your shopping cart plugin (along with our modifications to allow quantity updates) is now live.  You can see it at http://www.ilrinc.com

    Hi Jason,

First of all sorry that I hadn’t replied to this sooner. For some reason I became un-subscribed to the thread. Was doing a search for something today and came across this one again.

Great to see the plugin in use and what a really nice site that is you have designed there, fantastic!

Don’t suppose you’d like to share with my either by PM or e-mail how you did the quantity modifications would you?

Again, a really nice site there hope it does your client well, I’m sure it will.

    Best wishes,

    Mark
