This question may be related to a resolved thread.

Unfortunately we have tried setting the AcceptPathInfo directive both at a site and a server level and no joy :(

The only way I can get ExpressionEngine to display anything other than the homepage is with force querystrings turned on.  Has anybody else had this problem before?

    Cheers

If PHP is being run as a CGI process instead of an Apache module, the proper server variables may still not exist, even with that directive enabled.  If that’s the case, you might have an alternative environment variable you can use.  Or you could see if your server admin would switch to an environment that’s not in a CGI wrapper.

Thanks for that Derek, the fix in the wiki article resolves the issue so PHP is obviously running as a CGI process.  I’ve contacted the Sys Admins to see if they can get this changed as its obviously not ideal

Thanks for the quick response on this

    Cheers

I’m glad Derek got you squared away.  Please don’t hesitate to start a new thread should anything else come up.
