In my quest for The Awesome Layout, I’ve run into a small snafu, and my Archive page needs your help!

I’ve figured out how to get my Categories list to do it, but word on the street is that the default Archives tags can’t display how many entries are in each break down, IE how many posts were made each month.

Sometimes I don’t explain myself well, and I admit it; I’ve had a few beers so I might make even less sense, so here’s a text-visual of what I hope to accomplish:

Feb 2009 (3)
Jan 2009 (4)
Dec 2008 (23)

Ideally I’d like to get year counts, too:

2009: 7
2008: 164

My Google search hasn’t gotten me anything useful, so I’m turning to the EE community.. anybody have any ideas or know of any plug-ins/extensions/whatever that will let me do this?

I’m not 100% sure, but I reckon Low’s Yearly Archive plugin will sort this for you.

I had forgotten about that plug-in, and I even had it installed already *shakes head* Some days I overlook the obvious.
