I am developing a site on a joyent accelerator server and after loading the EE installation successfully, I cannot get even the simplest page to load.

Is there anything I should know about joyent servers?

What are you getting when you try to access your site, Corni?  And is the control panel also inaccessible?

thanks for your speedy reply Derek-
The control panel is accessible. But when I try to load the index page I get a blank page and when I view page source I see also no source code.

I did see the page once when I first pastedn in the code. It was not styled because I hadn’t copied over the style sheet yet. When I copied over the style sheet and changed the reference, everything broke.

I can view a separate page I put up with simple html in it so I know the DNS is working.

Can you please see this KB Entry so we can try to force displaying PHP errors, as a blank page is usually an indication of a hidden php error.

Also, make sure your debugging preference is set to 1 at:  CP Home ›  Admin ›  System Preferences ›  Output and Debugging Preferences

I have run EE on Joyent accelerators et al for many moons with nary a problem - even joyously at times. There are no server-specific problems of which I am aware.

    You guys are the best!

For some reason the path.php file mentioned in the KB article was not there (!)
I re-uploaded it. And re-ran the install file - I had to reload a config.php which was empty.

So I’m back to a nice default site. Which loads. I can see it.

    So far so good.

    many thanks.

Wonder if the path file got clobbered somehow?
