    I have an SSL certificate and need to make a Stand Alone Entry Form secure.

    Is this possible?

    To make the submission of the form secure with SSL?

    My path to the form is https but when I go to submit it I get the message that it is not being transmitted securely.

    netbuilder, the page you are sending the form on needs to be in SSL, as well as the form action.  Is this how you have it setup?

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

    I am using the stand alone entry form like this:

    {exp:weblog:entry_form weblog="credit" return="/donation_confirmation"}

    And there is no documentation on how to make the submission secure like you would with a standard form when you specify action=“http://securepage.mydomain.com” method=“post”

    So I was hoping that one of the EE gurus knew the trick..

    Take a look at this Wiki Entry.  Since you’re going to need files in your https directory, I think this would be the best way to go.

    If you are using:  https://secure.mydomain.com/  I think this would be the ideal solution, as you are separating the https version from the http version.

    The main thing is that your site url must be https:// as it will be used to build the form action.  Also keep in mind that for browsers to report the page as being properly secured, all included resources must be secure, including images, CSS, javascript, etc.  My guess though is that your site URL in your General Configuration is http:// and not https://, and that the form is submitting directly to the unsecured URL.
