What I would like to do is take a contact us form and capture that into a database. Then from that database, extract email lists for various email (opt-in, not spam!) newsletters, updates, etc. Has anyone implemented this in EE? Seems like a common request from customers, so I would like to stop reinventing the wheel 😊

    Thanks!

    Hiya,

ExpressionEngine does (if you purchase a full version - personal or commercia) come with the Mailing List tag which allows you to capture peoples e-mails for newsletters etc or there is the excellent Freeform module which allows you to do this and more. Anything sent using Freeform can be saved to its own database table and you could then use the query module or create your own plugin, extension or module to get back any data you want if you so desire to.

    Hope that helps a bit.

    Best wishes,

    Mark
