I once claimed the same and they asked for a traceroute (tracert codeigniter.com in windows dos prompt) to be done to the ci site and e-mailed to one of the admins do they know where it’s gone pear shaped.

Hmm, well i’d normally say that it looks more like a problem your end from that error message. Did you try the tracert?
