we are a group blog and I want to have an editor review a post before it goes live however right now the writers can just post live to the blog with no approval process.  Is there some setting I’m missing where making a post live requires approval?

Also - we have advertisers who want to see a sponsored post as it will look on the site before it actually goes live - is there a way to do this? I know you can in wordpress, but I can’t figure it out in EE.

    Thanks

Regarding your first question, under section management and “Administrative Preferences”, you can switch the ‘Default Status’ from ‘open’ to ‘closed’.  This will mean that, by default, a new entry will be created as ‘closed’ and not displayed.  Then, the reviewer can switch the status to ‘open’ after the review.  (If you want to reserve ‘closed’ for a different purpose, it is also possible to add a custom status, such as ‘pending’.)

Regarding the live preview of the ads, you might want to take a look at LG Live Look.

A low-tech approach might be to temporarily make it ‘live’ so as to do a screen capture, and then just send the client the screen capture.
