(ee 1.6.6) I’m getting the “Error of unknown type” when I try to upload images while publishing to my blog. I used the trick to change core.upload so I could see the error and I am getting error 6.

I did as this thread instructs and posted a ticket with my host:

    My host came back with:

I have uploaded a custom php.ini file to your pub_html directory with a tmp_dir set.  You will need to copy this file to any directories containing scripts that need the custom settings.  If you find that it is still not working for you, please provide exact steps to replicate the issue including any usernames/passwords necessary.

So my question is, what directories will need this file?

Andy, I’d just place it in the same directory your path.php file is in.

Try that, and let us know the results.

Strange! That’s where it was when I posted this message last night and it wasn’t working. This morning I am on a different workstation and it’s working fine! Do you think this could have been caching? Server or otherwise?
    Thanks Sue!

Could have been caching. What I’d do is make a note that if it happens again, to clear your caches.

Don’t hesitate to post again if needed.
