    get it turkee that made me laugh ee! Come to think of it when is EE 2.0 coming out this year or next?
    will it be similar to the EE we got now? for instance will the concept of templates be the same? like for your index and comments will they be separated as they are now or will there be one master template with a switch statement that will embed the comments into the master template if you need to view comments?

    right now ee has a separate template for each part of the site one for the homepage one for comments will that change in 2.0?

    Just to clarify, you do not need a new template for everything.  You can put your whole site on one template if you so choose - but it might become a little messy.  ExpressionEngine has conditionals and embeds, so your comment example is already possible.

    All the information that is currently available can be found here as well as a few entries on the EE blog.  There is currently no release date - it will be released when it’s done.  It has been stated that the migration will be an update, so moving to the new version will be easy.  The exception is third party add-ons, which will need to be modified to work with the new core.
