Solspace is pleased to announce the release of Tag 2.6, available today. We have been working hard on the module and have incorporated a new Subscription ability, so that your users can track new gallery and weblog entries based on Tags. Depending on your desires users can track their own subscriptions, subscriptions of other members, or all subscriptions side-wide. There are many other new features and bug fixes, please see the change log for complete information.

Just off the top of your head, can the Tag module be implemented on an existing site just as easily as it can be used when the site is created initially? Wondering if it’s feasible to upgrade a site to use the Tag module later on after launch.
    thanks.

Just to pop in and answer that if I may as I use the Tag module a lot. Yes you can retrospectively add in the module at a later date if you want to. All depends to a certain degree as to the way you have designed your site but generally as long as you have a single entry page for your entries then you should be able to do this.

Sweet, just doing a site where I’m using this module. 😊

    T.Gee.,

To answer your question even further…

Were you planning on using some other method of “tagging” your entries, and then wondering about a conversion process to the Tag module later on?

Tag does have a “Harvest” feature where it can turn Category names and/or “tags” from a custom field into Tag module Tags, then automatically apply them to your entries. 😊
