This question may be related to a resolved thread.
I can’t comment on my own site and neither can my visitors. Everybody is met with a “You are not authorized to perform this action” page when trying to post. It seems to be a rather sudden problem and I can’t recall having recently fiddled with the site at all.
Comment posting is allowed in the weblog and I do not require those who comment to be members but I do moderate comments.
I’ve read the Knowledge base article and have turned off the “Require IP Address and User Agent when receiving comments?” setting. The option “Require IP Address and User Agent for Login?” is however active since I’m the only one accessing the control panel ( and that works).
The next paragraph in the Knowledge base article states: “Open your config.php file and find the “require_ip_for_login” setting. Change the value for that setting to ‘n”.”
I DO NOT have that line in my config.php, nor any similar line for the comment version of the same function.
I’ve deinstalled the blacklist module since I don’t allow trackbacks and moderate comments. I’ve deinstalled the Aksimet extension.
Still, it doesn’t work and I can’t figure out what the problem is.
I’m running EE 1.6.4 Build: 20080710, and I don’t really have the time to upgrade right now.
Cheers,
Ayza
