We’ve added over a 100 new sites to the Showcase Gallery. We also took the opportunity to tweak the Showcase navigation to make exploring easier.
This is an archived forum and the content is probably no longer relevant, but is provided here for posterity.

Nice work, well done.
Only thing I did notice is that from the main page if you click on page 2 in the pagination at the bottom then the page doesn’t come up?
Could be my internet as I have been having problems with connections for quite a while now but have tried it a few times now and can’t get anything to come up so just thought I would point it out in case there is something missing there somewhere?
Best wishes,
Mark

That happened to me as well, though a few seconds later it was working…... 😊
Is there future plans to update screenshots, or create an RSS of recently added?

Oh you wanted to be able to browse the gallery from the main page. Picky, picky. Fixed! 😊

Periodically we’ll have to go through the Gallery and update it. If you redesign the site and want the screen cap update, just submit the site again and mention it in the note. I’ve thought about a feed for it but nothing concrete yet.

Yep seems to be working again now. Guess the code was moving around internally? 😉
Nice addition to see all the sites there although I have a lot of those bookmarked already as I always very quickly place them into a bookmark folder as soon as someone mentions them on the forums or other places that I frequent as most of the time they are never mentioned again otherwise 😊
Best wishes,
Mark

You posted as I was posting just above.
Just to say if you put pagination on a page then I will always always click on it! Just a quick fore-warning for the next time! 😉
I am a closet paginationist (hmmm think I just invented a word there!!) !! 😊
Best wishes,

Nice… I wondered why the showcase wasn’t getting much love.
For daily updates on new sites, follow the Site Introductions forum. That may be the Top Secret resource where the latest Top 100 EE sites were added from.
You can subscribe to an RSS feed for the Intros forums section, the Gallery does not offer any RSS feeds then? That would be a great addition.
Thanks for keeping us up to date LC.

The embarrassing truth is that these 100+ sites were all submissions and not selections from the Site Intro forums. I just got that behind on keeping it up to date. The next step is to start going through the Site Intro forums and adding those as well or encouraging people to submit them on their own. There are some real gems in there.

I’ll put a feed together for the Showcase shortly. It would be a nice thing to have.

Hahaha!
Leslie, you picked the perfect page to use as a screenshot for my CleverAndy site :D
Thanks!

A second vote for an RSS feed.

Glad to see the showcase updated with some new interesting sites. For me seeing live sites is often proof of concept and a decision making tool when looking for a CMS. I just visited the iVenus site that is featured on the front page of EE at the moment. Wow, they took EE and made a monster in my opinion.
For some reason they have used Flash to handle the front end which means everything takes forever to load and then because they are using JS to fudge unique URLs the buttons tend to stop working in some parts of the navigation. I see almost nothing (except maybe the blinky cursor effect) that is enhanced by Flash that could not be done with more traditional markup. Goodness knows how anyone with vision disabilities will access it.
I guess it is interesting to see that Flash *can* be made to present EE content but I feel it really goes against the grain of everything EE should stand for (fast, clean, accessible, compliant).
