    Hello,

I’m looking into using EE for a portion of my site. I have an ecommerce site and currently have all my products, categories, articles in a home grown system. I was thinking of moving my articles and as much content as I can (except products which i may move to magento later).

Before I go down this route, wondering if this splitting of content makes sense vs keeping everything in one system.

If I wanted to cross-link products (in my own db, currently ms access) with articles and content in EE, what would be the best way of doing that? And vice-versa, linking articles to products. Without having to hardcode all the links, that is.

So basically I would like to find out more about best practices for integrating multiple systems together.

    Thanks!

i currently generate static html pages for my whole site currently (products, articles, etc…). all my data sits on a local ms access database, and I ftp the files to my server.

and then I link it to a shopping cart (cyberstrong eshop, asp based), by passing the proper add to cart url with the product code embedded.

    thanks.
