Private Message conditional for forums?

Is there a conditional for the forums for whether or not private messaging is enabled?

I’d like to hide the private messaging box in the main theme_globals template if members in a group have that feature disabled.

I found
```
{if can_private_message}{/if}
```
in the theme_member template but it does not seem to work in the theme_globals one.

Can anyone show me the way with this? 😊
