    Hi guys,

I have just found the wonderful world of expression engine and am loving it so far. Great work Ellis Labs!

I have a question and before I go ahead with what I think would be great for my client, I would like a second, third, etc… opinion from the experts.

I am creating an art gallery website and one of the weblogs that I have created is the Artists weblog which basically will hold a collection of posts which are basically in the end of the day individual pages for the artists.

Now, each artist will have their work on display on their page.

I would like to know if it would be better in terms of ease of use to use Mark Huots File extension http://docs.markhuot.com/ee/extensions/file to allow my client to easily upload images of a particular artists work

    OR

should I create a relationship field and make my client create a gallery for each artist and then associate that when they are publishing a new artist page?

I imagine that there are pros and cons of using either of the two methods above. Of course, if you guys have any other ideas, I am open to suggestions of ways of tackling this issue.

P.S. If I have posted this in the wrong area, my apologies. Still new to the forums.

If I were you I’d do a weblog for each artist so that he/she can upload say… a post for each “category” of art and then have a “full resolution” and “thumbnail” custom field for every post to ensure that people can see the full sized images as well.

    Example:

    * John Smith (weblog for artist #1)
** summary (custom field with thumbnails of every piece of art)
** detailed (custom field with full sized versions of every piece of art)

    * Wayne Martin (weblog for artist #2)
** summary (custom field with thumbnails of every piece of art)
** detailed (custom field with full sized versions of every piece of art)
