I’m somewhat new, but that’s okay.  I was wondering if anyone had seen LowEndMac.com?  They are looking for a CMS, and have been evaluating lots of them—including EE.

But they had a question that I have as well—how to handle tons of existing content.

Just how do you import a lot of preexisting HTML content into EE?  I’d hate to see a prominent site like that move away from EE because they have a hard time importing ten years or so of static content.

Any ideas on this problem generally?

well you could just leave the static content as is and just use EE for the dynamic stuff. Eventually, I would imagine you would want something like the Pages or Tome module.
