    Hello there,
I was curious to see what people here think of this topic.
Personally I (used to) read quite a bit of ‘tutorials’ and ‘tech articles’ that often consistent of 1-2-3 steps in details and few pages worth of reading etc.

These days it seems that the ‘art of multi page’ content has been pushed out by ‘blog type’ of content where short burst of info are posted and a few links to ‘other sites’ that often have more info or even contain the actual content.

Is this what average reader wants these days? Pointers?
Are the days of screen shots/photos and detailed writeup above everyones patience levels?
Is it the ease of ‘web publishing apps’ killing the web content type?

Not looking to take a particular stand here just curious what trends have you noticed and what you think about it?
Am I now guilty of the ‘blog’ entry as well? 😊

    Thanks for your thoughts people!

Not everyone who wants to be on the internet has the desire to originate large amounts of content, and not everyone who surfs the internet is going to stumble on everything out there that might interest them. Of my regular readers, quite a few (including family) are only occasional internet users who find things by looking at my site, that they might not if I didn’t have my site.

It’s all about getting interested readers to the content that interests them. Bloggers help by giving directions.

    Thanks McGehee,
I overlook the number of people (family and non-techies) that now surf the web as the days of dialup and txt browsers are long gone 😊. Good point.
    Thank you.
