Problem is that I cannot view the actual forums on the website front end,

If i click Visit Forums is the admin section, I get page not displayed.

    my url is http://www.myssamplewebsite.ie/ee/index.php/forums/

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards,

Do you’ve got a link to the forum so we can see for ourselves? Also, what version and build are you on?

Actually, I have simply turned it off. As my .signature says, please use regular email instead. My address can be found on my profile page.

You have a fiew problems, Ciaran.  Firstly, your server is not configured to use index.php files as directory indexes, so visiting your domain without the index.php results in a forbidden directory listing server error.  The page error you are getting is because IIS requires you to use query strings.  See this KB article for details, and if you have any choice in the matter, you would do well to switch to an Apache / *nix based server instead of hosting on Windows IIS.

    Thanks for the reply Derek,
I have already built 2 medium sized media websites using EE on windows servers using IIS and have had no problems until now, so this is why I have gone with windows again.

I will have a look ar my current server configuation and see if i can resolve it.

    Thanks,
    ciaran
