    Hello,
Can anyone tell me if building a site in EE has any effect on SEO? Are there any advantages or disadvantages?
    Many thanks.

EE can be customized to be quite SEO friendly, as the framework allows for search-friendly URLs, dynamic sitemap generation and other best practices. Keep in mind that if you have an existing site, you’ll want to make sure you incorporate 302 redirects to maintain your existing rankings.

All of what Brad said, plus you can set up custom fields so each page’s title tags can be customized. EE gives you all of the tools you need to get creative with managing your SEO.

The BetterMeta add-on also allows for dynamic title tag creation - highly recommended.

I have a series on this in SEO, and the discussion has some good tips too.

Actually, this should be a 301 redirect—moved permanently.  A 302 redirect is read as a temporary redirect, and may or may not run into problems.
