Trying to think of a good way to have images in an article (first EE project 😉 ).

I’m at a loss on what to do, should I do it old fashioned way by uploading FTP and just put it in the article.  Is there some fancy way?  Most likely have more than one image per article.

I was thinking maybe JW Image rotators (http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?item=JW_Image_Rotator) at a bottom of an article, than one uploaded image at the top. or one or the other depending on article.  Just it’s hard for the other witters that are less tech savvy :(

I’d love any suggestions, like I said, I have no idea :’(

    Thanks!

    P.S.

Can EE Photo Gallery do something like the bottom of a Weblog Inc article? Example:http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/01/ratchets-quest-for-booty-starts-aug-21-on-psn/
As I can’t find any real examples of someone using EE’s Photo Gallery…  Is it standalone or can be attached to weblog entries?

On many weblogs I’ve set up I’ll create a custom field for the “article_image” and use Mark Huot’s File Extension to upload the image OR I’ll use EE’s native File Upload feature.

You could use the same extension from Mark Huot to upload multiple photos per article and have a mini gallery of sorts associated with the article.

This doesn’t work as well If you want the image(s) mixed in the middle of your article text.

    Does that help?

I placed an image custom field in the article. I then upload the image and float to using CSS which places it neatly to the left, right etc. Enjoy

I think the File Extension is perfect for what I need, if I ever need more I’ll do something with JW Image rotators.

    Thanks!
