    hey all

I just found out about the saving templates as files feature. just one thing i’m not clear on is now that the templates are saved under /system/template_files/my_blog how do I browse to the site? will just typing in http://michael-short.net still work?

Saving templates as files has no affect as far as browsing your site is concerned. Same URLs - EE keeps track either way.

Michael, saving templates as files is simply a way to make it easier for you to edit the templates. Many people prefer to edit template in their favorite text editor via (S)FTP, not inside the EE CP, which is just a plain old textarea.

Thanks guys,  I just wasn’t sure since it seemed like it would be changing the path.  but if it doesn’t then great 😊  I was getting tired of the online editor 😊
