    Hi there,
I’m building a client (who is not very good with computers!) a site in EE which is to contain a latest news section on the home page. I want this to be a fairly standard section which will contain 3 or more news summaries, each of which will link to a full story on a seperate page.
I’ve scanned through the ‘Getting Started’ tutorial which has shown me how to do this, but my concern is whether or not my client will be able to create new news sections themselves as they have very little technical knowledge.
Is it possible to build this news section so that my client literally just has to fill in the fields in the publish section, then hit publish and have their news summary displayed on the home page and the relevant news story on it’s own page, or are they going to have to be able to create new templates and edit bits of code each time they add another news story?
    Thank you for your help.

No, they certainly don’t have to create a new template every time. If you don’t think they can handle posting via the control panel, consider using the stand-alone entry form.

Hey thanks for getting back to me Ingmar. I think my client should be able to make posts using the control panel if they simply just have to fill in the correct fields then publish their entry and don’t need to edit the template code. Just incase though, do you know where I could read up a bit on the stand alone entry form you mentioned?

Why, in the docs, of course 😊 That said, yes, it is easy to setup EE in a way where they only have to fill out a form in the CP.
