    Hi,

My client is getting an error when they try to submit an article in the publishing section. When they press submit, the following error comes up, but when you check the actual webpage, the article has been published:

    MySQL ERROR:

    Error Number: 1146

    Description: Table ‘user_ee.exp_sitemap’ doesn’t exist

    Query: SELECT status FROM exp_sitemap WHERE weblog_id = ‘1’

The EE version is 1.6.2. It was all working fine.

    any suggestions?
    thanks

    Kim

Hi, Kim. exp_sitemap is not a native EE table. This sounds like a table that may be used by a sitemap extension/module by a third party developer.

You’ll need to contact them for support.

exp_sitempap is not a table that EE uses by default.  My guess is you are using the sitemap module and that table got somehow deleted. Either remove or reinstall the sitemap module, or if you have a backup of your data with table included, you might optionally use that.

The client did install sitemap briefly but didn’t like it, and then uninstalled it.

I have just re-installed it and the problem went away, but returns when the extension is uninstalled.

I will refer to the Sitemap developer.

    thanks

I suppose there are still traces somewhere in the template, eg.

Problem solved - it had been uninstalled in the modules manager but the sitemap pinger hadn’t been disabled in extensions manager.

    thanks
