    Greetings all,

OK so far so good. Ive been working on an existing website, which already has the css layout, and which was turned into EE templates in fair time.

Ive got most of the features working, and now require a few others. If anyone can direct me to the right resource/plugin/tutorial/etc, I would appreciate it.

    1) I need to find out how to make rss feeds. Is there a plugin that can generate this for me automatically?

    2) A calendar module; When a user clicks on a date, the website will direct the user to a new page which has all blog entries posted for that specific date.

    3) Tag cloud, if it exists

    4) A way to arhive my posts

    5) A way to display a gallery of photos

I think this is pretty much it for now. If all goes well, I believe I may be on my way from EE Core to purchasing a commercial license

If one of these features is not included in EE Core, please dont hestitate to mention it

    1. EE handles RSS feeds out of the box with the RSS module, and includes two templates for you when you install it. Look for rss and atom in your main template group.

    2. EE can also do this without anything extra. Look for the Calendar Tag.

    3. You’d need the Tag Module to handle the tag cloud, which is not free. You could also get a really basic tag system going by setting up a custom field for tags. You’d then use SQL/PHP to get your basic functionality like a tag cloud, article tags, etc.

    4. Another built-in EE feature: Category Archives or Monthly Archives.

    5. The Photo Gallery comes with the personal/commercial version.

So #1, #2 and #4 are covered in EE Core. #5 comes with the personal/commercial EE version. #3 will take a 3rd party plugin or a fair knowledge of the EE underpinnings.

    Hope that helps.
