    Hello all,

I hope this is the correct forum for this question.

I started a website for a client using EE several months ago. For some insane reason, the client decided not to use EE and chose to go with another CMS. I’m assuming I can use this commercial license on another site? Also, can I resell the license to another client?

    Hiya,

Hopefully one of the moderators or Tech Support will pop in here too but as I know it to be a license is not tied to any domain per se.
If you are indeed not needing the license on a clients site anymore then as long as you have deleted the ExpressionEngine files from the FTP server you should be fine using the license with another client instead.

    Hope that helps.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    No problem.

Hopefully all correct 😉 One of the moderators or Tech Support will probably pop in though to make sure it is all clear.

    Good luck with everything.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

It is best to email sales with your license question.

The license is not tied to a particular domain, so long as you have removed the files from the old site, you are good to go.  Please note that you may no re-sell the software, but you may certainly use it on another client’s site.

Feel free to email if you have more specific questions!
