    Hi there,

I noticed today that I’m having the exact same problem (symptoms anyway). EE is now adding some characters at the end of the URL when displaying the category editor in a new window.

    URL:

    <a href="http://www.domainname.com/ee01/cp.php?S=24b83636169ae291d8cec860f105397b789d0bdd&C=admin&M=blog_admin&P=category_editor&group_id=6&Z=1">http://www.domainname.com/ee01/cp.php?S=24b83636169ae291d8cec860f105397b789d0bdd&C=admin&M=blog_admin&P=category_editor&group_id=6&Z=1</a>

    EE is adding

    &Z=1
to the end of the URL after
    &group_id=6
    When I remove
    &Z=1

from the end of the URL and reload the page it works as expected.

We’re running the latest version and build of EE.

Any idea what might be happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Robert

Robert, you appear to be running Sessions or Cookies and Sessions instead of Cookies only in

Admin ›  System Preferences ›  Security and Session Preferences

    Hi Sue,

Just tried that. It didn’t make any difference in this case.

    Cheers,

The z is normal- it basically tells EE it’s a pop-up window.  Mine looks the same.

If you leave it in there and just refresh, does it load ok?  And when you first hit the page- it’s just white screening?

No, it does not, I just get a white screen.

And when you first hit the page- it’s just white screening?

    Yes, jus a white screen.

Any help you may be able to offer would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Robert

Can you turn on the display of PHP error messages? Alternatively, you might have a look in the server logs; that should help us track down the issue.
