Am I dreaming..? Is there a plugin/extension/module that converts/replaces text to image dynamically?

Once again, I’m back here dreaming of plugin’s that I thought existed.. I don’t have the thread subscribed, and I haven’t been able to find it. Isn’t there a plugin (a very popular one) that replaces text and converts them dynamically to real images?

I might be dreaming.. But I swear it existed. When searching under keywords (convert, text, images, etc.), I’m not getting much.. :S

    Cheers,
    D.

It’s not by any chance Title Images that you were thinking of was it?

    Mark,

This probably isn’t the right thread to ask this (I’ve already planted a reply in the original thread), but do you have knowledge on whether this works outside of weblog titles? I have a sub-heading on a site that I’d love to get into converted to images.. It’s akin to a slogan, and it’s random, but nonetheless, plays an integral part in my header that is already laden with images. To keep to that tradition, and stylistically, to keep things inline, I’d be looking to have the text as anti-aliased as I can without going the way of sIFR.

    Hiya,

Sorry I’ve never actually used that Module so not too sure if it can handle what you are after or not. I’m sure it possibly could do although I wouldn’t want to hazard a guess as to how it would be done. I would think that the functions that handle the conversion could possibly be placed into a plugin instead so that it could be used anywhere within the ExpressionEngine system but I can’t say for sure as it isn’t something I created and I have never used it.

Hope you get what you need though.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

It will work with any input. I had to hard-code the name of my wife’s dormant critterblog to make it work with the blog name rather than a post title, but it works.

Give it a try in a test template until you find a way that gives you what you want.
